From the beginning, it became evident that building a student satellite wasn’t just about the technical aspects—it also required strong brand recognition and identity. As seen in our promotional video, the team has participated in numerous events, including international conferences, competitions, and workshops. With such a high level of external engagement, there was a pressing need for a cohesive digital brand presence. This included a well-defined logo, color palette, apparel, badges, ID cards, and other branding elements that would make Stardust recognizable both on campus and at these prestigious events.
Recognizing this need, I took the initiative to establish and lead the design team, overseeing all aspects of UI/UX, digital branding, and graphic design. This involved: Designing T-shirts and hoodies that represented the team’s spirit Creating digital posters and social media content to promote our initiatives Developing branding materials, including badges, ID cards, and merchandise Crafting visually compelling presentations for competitions and conferences. To achieve this, I utilized a range of professional tools: Adobe Illustrator for vector-based graphics and logo design Adobe Photoshop for poster and social media content creation Figma for UI/UX prototyping and digital interface designs Canva for quick and efficient promotional material development

Beyond graphic design, my journey with Stardust also introduced me to the world of video editing. With an abundance of photos and footage from events, we needed a polished way to compile them for social media promotions, official documentation, and internal team bonding. This led me to explore and master: Adobe After Effects for creating stylish logo intros and outros Adobe Premiere Pro for high-quality video editing and storytelling DaVinci Resolve for color grading and post-production refinement Looking back, my experience with Stardust has been a blend of technical innovation and creative expression. It has not only shaped my skills in design and video editing but also reinforced the importance of branding in scientific and engineering projects. As the team continues to grow, I am proud to have played a role in defining its visual identity and digital presence, ensuring that Stardust shines both in space and on Earth.
